The game keeps running on the server. You can rejoin any time. Miss three turns in a row by timeout, though, and you'll be auto-bankrupted — so don't ghost for long.

Any active player can call a vote. The game pauses only if every active player agrees, and any single player can resume it. Bathroom breaks are now officially supported.
