We collect the following information when you use Monopoly Online: email address (for account creation and communication), username (displayed to other players), game statistics (games played, wins), and locale preference (language setting).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and maintain the Service, authenticate your identity, display your profile to other players, track game statistics, and communicate important updates about the Service.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. We use JWT tokens for authentication and HTTPS for all communications. We implement reasonable security measures, but no system is 100% secure.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your username and game statistics are visible to other players during gameplay. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser local storage to keep you signed in (session tokens) and to remember your language, theme and similar preferences; this is required for the site to work and needs no consent. With your consent we also use Google Analytics 4 (cookies such as _ga) to measure anonymous, aggregated usage, and Sentry Session Replay to record a small sample of sessions for debugging, with typed text masked. You can decline or change this choice at any time through the Cookies link in the footer. Cloudflare, which serves the site, may set strictly necessary security cookies, and our error monitoring (Sentry) receives technical error reports without cookies. When you send us a bug report or a suggestion, its text and the technical details of the page you were on are also sent to Sentry so we can investigate.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to: access your personal data through your profile page, update your username and locale preference, request deletion of your account by contacting us, and export your game statistics.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized game statistics may be retained for analytical purposes.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
