The Monopoly Online board is themed around ten industry sectors — from Supermarkets and Cafes & Restaurants to Airlines, Marketplaces, Automotive, Technology, Finance, and Industry. Every property on the board belongs to one of ten groups: eight color groups of buildable properties, four Finance properties, and two Industry properties. The properties get more expensive as you travel around the board, with the cheapest Supermarkets near GO and the premium Technology properties on the home stretch before passing GO again.

Click any company below to see its full rent table, build costs, mortgage value, color group, and a strategic profile. Once you collect every property in a color group you form a monopoly and can open branches and corporations, multiplying rent up to ten times. Choosing which groups to fight for is the single most important strategic decision in any game.

Property Groups

Supermarkets

The two cheapest properties on the board (Supermarkets), located right after GO. This group is rarely landed on but the lots are cheap to monopolize and build, making them a favorite end-game grind for squeezing extra rent out of opponents who land between GO and Jail.

Apparel & Cosmetics

Three affordable Apparel & Cosmetics properties in the second quadrant of the board. Players landing in Jail and rolling out frequently land here, and a full monopoly with corporations can deliver respectable rents at a low total investment.

Cafes & Restaurants

The first really lucrative color group (Cafes & Restaurants). Right after Jail, these properties get heavy traffic from players exiting Jail, and with three lots and modest build costs they offer one of the best risk-reward ratios on the board.

Social Networks

Statistically the most landed-on color group (Social Networks), thanks to dice probabilities from the Jail and Chance squares. Many serious Monopoly players consider this the single best group to control — high traffic combined with mid-range build costs.

Airlines

Premium mid-board real estate (Airlines). These properties get strong traffic from the Casino and offer rent levels that can knock opponents into bankruptcy when fully built. Slightly more expensive to build than Social Networks but with bigger payoffs.

Marketplaces

Three high-priced Marketplaces properties on the third side of the board. Rent at the Corporation level is brutal, but the higher build cost means you need cash in reserve. A Marketplaces monopoly often pairs well with Airlines for board-side dominance.

Automotive

Some of the most expensive buildable properties on the board (Automotive). This group requires deep pockets to build out, but a fully developed Automotive monopoly produces some of the highest single-rent payments in the game.

Technology

The two most prestigious properties on the board (Technology), sitting right before passing GO. This group features the highest base prices and the highest rents in the entire game. The catch: there are only two lots, so the monopoly is achievable but the build cost is steep.

Finance

Four Finance properties evenly spaced around the board. You cannot build on these, but rent doubles for each one you own — landing on a four-property Finance monopoly costs an opponent a flat $2,000.

Industry

Two Industry properties. Industry rent is calculated as a multiplier on the dice roll, so payouts scale with luck rather than building investment.
